STUFF YOU MIGHT WANNA KNOW

WHAT TYPE OF SCREEN IS BEST FOR MY EVENT?

Ugh, we hate to say it, but "it depends". The first and most important factor to consider (after cost) is your location. Large-scale outdoor projection during daylight requires a much brighter image source(s) than indoor in a dark room. Similarly, the size of the screen and the relationship to the audience will make a huge difference to your needs.

I'VE DECIDED ON LARGE FORMAT LED, WHAT NEXT?

Large format Led panels are a popular choice for events trade shows and concerts for many reasons - they're bright, high-contrast and when ground stacked make a great back wall for a trade show booth.
What most people don't know is that image quality comes at the cost of power draw - you will need a lot of electricity to drive a screen larger than 4m wide, often requiring at least one 32A 3-phase power outlet. So check with your venue before committing to a decision.

FRONT OR REAR PROJECTION?

We almost always recommend front projection where possible - it usually results in a better, brighter image than rear projection. Having said that, if your talent or your audience are going to have to stand in front of the screen, you will have to consider rear projection - it's not a problem but you need to allow enough space behind the screen to ensure a large enough image for a given lens configuration. Again, give us a call and we can help you plan.

WHAT IS A VIDEO FOLD BACK AND WHY IS MY PRESENTER ASKING FOR ONE?

Many presenters will ask for a video fold back, confidence monitor or a screen on the floor so that they can see what's behind them without having to turn around. We typically recommend 1-2x 55" or larger TVs and potentially a third for a timer depending on the size of the stage.
